Dr. Ahmed’s varied 33 years of experience in the field of Structural Engineering Design has afforded him the opportunity to design many large and diverse projects in Egypt and throughout the Middle East. He has proven success in design/checking, leading and handling large scale design projects (Towers - 80 F Schools, Hospitals, Environmental, Steel, Precast, Aluminum, PT & Glass Structures, Factories, Plants, Shoring and Fabric Shades) from inception to completion within budgetary and given time constraints. He is proficient in structural software; CSI Programs (ETABS, SAFE, SAP2000), Prokon, RCM ACI-Builder, Shoring Design (WALLAP, ReWaRD), Ram, management programs (Microsoft Dynamic AX 2012, Aconex), developing computer programs for design and research.
Dr. Ahmed has a successful experience in managing the overseas and outsourcing works. He has notable accomplishment in construction supervision based on contract administration, work plan, specifications, right method statements, inspection manual, Health & Safety, Quality and logistic plans, and sustainability. He carried out forensic engineering for many projects and specified precisely the proper corresponding repairs.
He has managed large scale design projects as per the best practice guidance considering: contracts, project requirements, cost estimates and control, schedule baseline, approvals and permits, available resources, risk probability, payment terms and documentation. Dr. Ahmed has Middle East experience: UAE (8 years), KSA, Egypt, and Oman. International experience: Thornton Tomasetti, Khatib & Alami, RW ARMSTRONG, SDC, NAGA & AL SUWEIDI.
